According to the Ministry of Transport, in 2008-2012 Azerbaijan intends to invest approximately US$ 1 billion into the development of railroads. The President of Azerbaijan ordered to develop a railroad development program due to the expected increase in transportation volumes, particularly, after completion of construction work within the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project in 2009.

Visitors’ promotion campaign including direct distribution of invitations, advertisement on radio and TV, in the newspapers and magazines there expected to be more than 3,000 visitors from Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Central Asia, Russia, Georgia, to the exhibition.
